@Serkket If you look at history, generally the societies that last the longest are ones that assimilate the peoples they conquer into their own society rather than killing them in bloody conquest. so this pointless slaughter is not only unjustified, it's also just not the best way for Albion, who has a much stronger military power than the Erin isles, to go about conquering them. The much better option would have been to offer them the chance to surrender and allow the people to keep their ways of life, but with oversight/leadership from Albion put into place to keep Dhala from interfering, and taxes for protection in the form of Albion's armies.

Also, side note, Richard reminds me a hell of a lot of Ashoka. Grandson of a conqueror, who in his first campaign led a bloody massacre and immediately regretted it. Obviously some stark differences, but I thought it was cool.
