this arc seems like it was abruptly ended? everything took a 180 for no apparent reason

he went so hard and won vs burst, and suddenly he kills himself? wtf? its like the author was getting tired of the arc and just sped things up. what was the point of killing yousuke if he was just gonna off himself after a fist fight? and him wanting seki to be the leader seems really shoehorned
