If he's the only one in the security team then good god this village deserves to be burned down.
It wouldnt surprise me if there was already a Manga or a novel called "my childhood friend is the demon lord" (the cover would be the hero looking like he is about to fall and embarassed while the young looking demon lord with horns has a happy naive smile).L's in the chat for childhood friends.
Most of the time when the Childhood Friend loses, its because they did nothing to express their feelings to the MC until they were already with someone else. Like, did they just assume that they were a 100% shoe-in for Love Interest so they didn't bother making a move? Not saying there hasn't been times where the CF made moves before hand, but most of the time they are passive until they realise they lost. You immediately lose if you're a childhood friend. Unless if the series is about childhood friends.
ohh, the book in this manga! i didnt think of that. truly good jokesee Ch2's comments where i got the joke from
does this one count? It wouldnt surprise me if there was already a Manga or a novel called "my childhood friend is the demon lord" (the cover would be the hero looking like he is about to fall and embarassed while the young looking demon lord with horns has a happy naive smile).
Not sure, is on my to-read list but haven't seen it yet, still too much to finish and I shouldnt begin anything new, plot synopsys doesn't answer it.
Also, the presence of Iris will now stir up jealousy in YonaFeel like it's more "gaining family approval" from Harold's side than anything. Basically, the start of garnering support for the whole idea of cohabitation.
Well, in this series, he would never make a move on anyone due to his rules. He never considered Iris a love interest because he was never allowed to consider anyone to be a love interest. She probably knows his rules very well, and was trying to work within his restrictions to slowly gain his attention (my presumption of her plan). Most of the time when the Childhood Friend loses, its because they did nothing to express their feelings to the MC until they were already with someone else. It's pretty telling that she didn't hear that he had gotten married. The state didn't announce it, there was no celebration, no grand setup of the "quest to save the world", or anything. It just underscores how little he is regarded by the kingdom. That's why when she finds out that it is a quest, she just assumes that it is something like the handyman requests he is given around town. Something for him to eventually finish and drop, because he didn't marry her for love, but as a request. She has no idea that the book is requesting the two of them to emotionally bond.Honestly, I say a hearty "SUCK IT, IRIS! YA FUCKING LOSER! GET REKT!"
Cos even if the marriage is about obligations and not about love, if someone spoke to my wife like she did to Yona, I would at least tell her I did not want to talk to her for a while, and if that behaviour continued, I'd cut her out completely.
Am I petty? Yeah. But if she pulled him aside and brought up her concerns, I probably wouldnt be.

I mean, his father had gotten married somehow while being the hero before running away.

Of course, I assume they will beat this into the ground by showing how far he bends over backwards for humanity before the "world saving quest" has him eventually leave to the Demon Realm to rule as the new Demon Lord. Based on the description text of the series, I presume the quest book was written by his now wife.
Quick summary is Shinzo Abe wanted the Japanese to have families and kids. Pretty sure he enacted policies that funded pro family anime and stuff like Spy X Family. Look up Shinzo Abe memes and you get the basic idea.what about the book? can you explain this reference to me please?
Friendzone!? Bro, she didn't even get that, she got Siszoned
It is just dumb. Authors who do this are so boring and lame. I always hate the forced or contractual relationship. Because no matter how they frame it. The relatiomship is always forced.L's in the chat for childhood friends.
