i do wonder why in this universe there is no distinction between an Alchemist and Artificer. Those are very different skillsets. As it is Seresa essentially works as Project Manager, Alchemist, Engraver, Scribe, and Dyer.
Because not all authors do proper research and just shit out half-assed plots, character archetypes, and vocations. It's has really muddled the waters and reduced the quality of not just novels, but the general comprehension of the audience as well.
Artifice, not to be confused with artifacts, is the antiquated term used for the craft of creating mundane mechanical devices, objects, and chemicals. While alchemy should be it’s mystical based cousin dealing magical devices, potions, supernatural objects and materials.
Yes there is a lot of overlap, and not to hard to see how the terms were confused. In general it doesn't even matter anymore. It's all devolved into gibberish, and can almost be used interchangeably.
