Please don’t just be an endless open-beginning-open-ending story.

The characters are charming and I especially like Chiyo’s appearance and personality. The ninja-falling-in-love thing’s been done a few times before (there’s even a really good h-manga that has similar characters), but the art style and the random humor makes it unique.

But the story just reeks of “never-ending syndrome”. Like any other gag manga.

@Deathglass: Show us how you reached that conclusion, or keep your peace. If you actually said that in real life in the wrong place and time, the author would be very well within their rights to sue you for defamation.

It's pretty obvious and speaks for itself. And I'm sure if the author had ties to a monolithic dictatorship, and I happened to be in said autocratic country, I might be sued. But more probably, I'd be detained indefinitely without trial, or "accidentally" killed. A bit of a far stretch, to humor your "wrong place at the wrong time."

It starts charming enough.

But very soon you realize the manga is stuck on a constant groundhog day loop to avoid advancing the plot. The author goes to ludicrous ends to maintain the status quo, and it becomes annoying instead of endearing. Chiyo goes from shy girl in love to insufferable whiner.

What finally broke me was when the friend tried to take her picture. That broke my suspension of disbelief and my patience.

this is like a harem series from the perspective of one of the side heroines

don't know how I really feel about it 🤨

Wow, looks like there was major plot progression only 15 chapters in. Looks like the whiners were completely wrong!

Friendly reminder that this is a Slice of Life manga. Meaning plot progression usually happens when the author feels like it and will only present scenarios that the heroine has to encounter each chapter. Kinda like those cartoons where you can turn it on any time and not have to worry about what happened in the last episode.

So if you care about plot progression and not amusing/fluffy chapters that just bounce off the wall, this may not be for you.
