Chihiro's power works like a mental trap while Teru's is more of a supernatural unstoppable force. Chihiro lures her opponents into a compromise attitude, that small losses are nothing and they can make comeback as long as the game lasts. And when they finally reach a point where their points hit so low that they have no choice but breaking out of her control, they will be rushed, play recklessly and deal into Chihiro's hands, which only maintains her win streak even further. Personally I'd rather being busted out fast with Teru than getting tortured slowly by Chihiro.
