Gonna point out: the ending is lackluster because this is only the first of 3 volumes of the light novel. Still a rather sweet series, worth a look at least.

The light novel is only three volumes despite ConstantErasing's comment about it being "only the first 3 volumes."
And like the last chapter translated here says, this is only the first volume adapted. (I just went and read it.) 😁

Oh! So this was a light novel adaptation! Glad to hear there was more of this, since if the first volume was this good, I can’t imagine how better the other 2 would be!
