The poor kid, I'm really hoping this doesn't end up with the two in a relationship, that feels like it'll just remain unhealthy.
With all the censoring of ages, I'm half-expecting them to pull the rug from understand and say he's actually a high schooler. Since it seems kinda obvious so far that the implications are middle school.
