@KingDM23 Most of the time he does seem cray-cray, but if we want to paint him in a kind light, then we can look at the following:
In his first life, his wife didn't even mind not having any particular sexual gratification - meaning despite having had so many partners, she doesn't seem to have had much of a good time
Same thing with first life, she seemed to be happy that he wasn't beating her up or dumping her like an used tissue. There's such a thing as a wide strike zone, but that seems like a seriously low self-respect.
And in the chapter two flashback to first life, apparently she explicitly told him "I wish my first time had been with you" and "I wish all my first times (reincarnation) would be with you". Whatever she meant with that, he's grasping hold of what he thinks she meant with both hands.
We can also note that he was briefly in this chapter fine with not getting her virginity, as long as she would once more become his wife, since he thought that at least he would have spared her from having a date-rape [second life; violent rape] as her first experience... but then he found out the source of those problems.. his second life wife..
Anyway, he's a bit insane because he's time traveling through suicides, that's gotta jilt.. but his goal seems to be mainly to have a happier wife (while still managing to keep her as his wife) and he's just stuck up on the idea that how she lost her virginity is what shaped her (as well as wanting to fulfill the wish of the first life..)
