I feel like there was something behind the scenes here. perhaps chapter 40 would've been the last chapter but maybe the Author's publisher or editor wanted them to keep going with some chapters cause of some sales they got. This chapter feels like a RESTART just so it would keep on going.
we're not even gonna go into the consequences of someone who's lived 100+ years being in a vegetative state? He seems normal like that didnt happen at all. or is the consequence is just him giving up on changing the future?
