@DrWhoCares Hey-o! I think the type of conjugation you're talking about is the imperative form! The words they use are the Te forms, but they do look and sometimes sound pretty similar, if not are the same in pronounciation. "立って," (Tatte) and "歩いて," (Aruitte) are the Te forms of the verbs they use. The imperatives for these words however, are "立て," (still Tatte) and "歩け." (Aruke) They are pretty similar in terms of what they mean in English, but I kinda feel like it wouldn't match, as, "歩いて," means, "to be walking." If there is a way I'm just not remembering because I'm sleepy, it's probably either too unnatural for normal language or would require an extra verb.
