So, I've never read/watched Eminence, though I've been meaning to. Is there an actual base for the constant comparisons, or is this a case of people latching onto the most surface-level - or worse, superficial - details they can think of for quick reference points and/or easy dunks?

Cause like, I thought the point of that series was being a satirical comedy first, serious (back)story second. This seems 100% serious with the MC cringing at his past being a main gag.
