well, at least he's willing to have a talk but i wonder, as the children of some parents who are arrested, can they simply just go to their relatives versus like being entered into the system/some kinda foster home or so (tho i guess Japan values family members highly to where it'd be 'allowed' but then again if his brother/in-laws find out i doubt they'd approve/want to be associated with a criminal)

I think it's super normal that children in the first place are taken in by other family members. And for reference, I'm from Europe. I doubt their grandparents would condemn granchildren for what their parents did. At least it woudn't be the case in a normal family.
