That was a nice chapter, almost felt like a final chapter although it’s technically a beginning flashback. It does make me curious what sort of race her and the boy are…apparently long-lived.

Edit: in the beginning of the chapter the boy is shown with a tattered bat wing, so perhaps they are both demons of some kind.

Remind me again, is this the first time we’ve seen her refer to him as her husband or am I just forgetting?
