Unfun like unmotivating story, or unfun like a lot of challenge in translation/redraw/effects? I know this title seems like it takes a lot of work.
for the most part it's just that the story isn't terribly interesting, the stakes aren't really set properly in my opinion, and, most importantly, it requires a bunch of research about traditional japanese ceremonies that i'm really not interested in researching at all. a big reason why i found this series to fun to work on to begin with was because learning about all the pop culture references and slang on my own was pretty exciting to me, but traditional japanese tea ceremonies really don't scratch the same itch if you feel me
redrawing is also a little bit more difficult than usual, but that's a minor thing. on the translation side there are a few things i genuinely can't figure out the meaning of and have to remove entirely when i eventually translate them, and that's also kinda demotivating. i really don't wanna kill the original meaning but i kinda don't have a choice, and that pains my heart and stays my hand
