Not sure if this was part of the joke, but a possible explanation for this is that the katakana looks similar.
ケーキ = keeki = cake
ソーキ = soki/sooki/souki (?)

Ok guys, sorry, there where some errors on this chapter, I wanted to correct them the same day I uploaded it... but I got sick and was really tired.
