Sacrificial healing magic... What a unique approach... Sounds like something an actual evil aligned dark elf would do, but her shade seems rather pale...

And she feels like she would be invisible to humans... Without her casting healing magic I would have thought, that she is the MC's hallucination....

What if she is an actually hallucination, and the MC did carry an actual corpse all night long?
The old lady could have died soon around/after the healing spell was cast.
What a waste would that be, the elf had an actual (bombshell) body.
