The tower shield that Cinnamon uses reminds my soul of something dark...

Turns out there is no tower shield exactly like this in Dark Souls, but if you put the crest of the Spirit Tree Shield on the Black Iron Greatshield, it becomes quite similar.
Or maybe I'm just over-thinking this because you don't see enough tower shields in gaming and manga.

The first thing that came to my mind were the Gondor shields from Lord of the Rings.

Though it's not like a tree motif is that rare in reality or fantasy content.

Cinnamon is 100% going to be hired to go after them. Most likely not on her own, but as part of a group. She clearly has a good heart, but she makes it clear that when it comes to providing for her people and her land, money is money. She drew the line at the corpse being stolen, but was entirely fine with the organizer being "shady."

Which tells me that if the money is good enough, she'll take jobs that aren't the most commendable.

Ooh, i do love an All Defense fighter. And I quite like the resolution here. This whole idea of magic users being at risk of corpse desecration is really interesting, and makes sense. Thinking a bit of europian executions where people brought cups because the blood of a criminal had superstitious uses.... imagine actual magic in the mix.
