Thats gotta be one of the weirdest ways to come out and say "im a female" ive seen yet lmao. Guess he (and me included) assumed the scanlator staff were all male, no girls on the internet and all that lol.

Idk what fresco is, but either way that page was better done than many actual "professional" translations I've had the misfortune of paying for, so great job! Been loving the translation work on this manga, such an interesting story so thanks for sharing with us.

LOL... i think it's mainly because people get confused cause i called myself 'your ex-bf'... but I also think if you look at what I've translated, (not including current stuff), it's quite 'female leaning' (女子向け)? At least that's what I think, so it's pretty obvious but i guess not lol
Adobe Fresco is a mobile vector and raster graphics program for IOS. I do all my hand lettering and then some with the program on my ipad. I like it because it has vector... makes manipulating text a breeze...

Tbh, people liking the lettering does makes me feel a little bad, because I have very bad carpal tunnel and its a struggle to have that and do scanlation... hence why I did quit for a few years (i crawled back here because novel translation scene is currently too toxic)... so, to reduce the stress on my hand, I will only do SFX if 1. I have no choice, 2. I deem it necessary (as with here).

Personally, I dont mind sfx being left alone. It adds a lot of redrawing work as well. As long as there is a little note on a margin like "sfx: boom" or explaining what it means (since japanese has so many highly specific sfx); I think most people will be happy with it.
Now when it adds to the narrative like in those pages here then yeah, it can have a really cool effect when translated and I think it should be done.

I mean, my 'group', frankly I'm a solo scan, so it isn't really a group, but 'Anata no Motokare' literally translates to 'your ex-bf' haha
