A large part of storytelling is the journey. We know that eventually they're fine with one another, but we don't know what brought them together; of course, this is slop at its finest, so it'll probably be solved in a chapter or two at most, but it still serves to keep the reader vaguely interested enough in finding out to keep reading.

They'll probably rescope the original deaths at the womens hands, that they were always yandere, and overwhelmingly pissed he never chose them, and went for the "If I can't have him, nobody can!"
