I'm so happy the story doubled down on the MC's agenda. Like yes he has picked a horrible choice in how to do this. But I was worried they were going to have a "revelation" and him start to change his ways and become a "good guy in secret" kinda thing, but they decided to stick with his path, knowing full well it is the 'evil' solution to the problem. But went "It might be evil, but it will work!"

Let's be real, the fight against the demon lord is more likely her only option now after what she has done with her father and his colleagues. If she hasn't, she has to deal with the remaining people that she just made her enemy and possibly a civil war as well. If she wins, she gains more power and prestige against her enemies for awhile and if she doesn't, she already said what will happen to her. Either way, our demon lord was right. She took things way too fast to the point that she wasn't ready for the real threat, him.

Now I want to know what happens to the holy kingdom after hearing the news of her death.

But maaaaan. That BS she was spouting. And what if he hates mankind for killing his LI? Even in case only part of his justification is meant for real, as long as it is still part of his drive, his motivation, I say, "So what?" As long as it is working as intended in that justification, that's good enough. Who deears to say, that your motivation must always be 100% pure? It can be a mix, even if it might be an ugly one.

It's interesting she did try this approach. I guess not getting killed immediately is what gave her a little bit of hope of confusing the demon lord with her speech, and then getting a lucky stab in. It was by no means a poor approach, even though it was pretty much all she could do. Considering her background, she must have kept hearing such preaching till her ears started bleeding. If you sense any hesitation in your enemy, you use it. I'm actually not sure the demon lord hesitated at all, it's more like he just wanted to hear what she had got to say before the end. It could be called chivalry.

Did I already post how much I like the new forum features? Normally I'm more of the "just the essentials"-guy, but this is smooth.
