And so this arc ends. It might have been greedy of me to expect Menou to drop the idea of killing Akari just yet. She's just starting to question her old way of life, after all.

I suppose Momo isn't growing out of her obsessive love any time soon, with Menou's unintentionally perfectly timed gift.

Reminds me of the poem on the Statue of Liberty; The New Colossus by Emma Lazarus (1883).

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Man... the amount of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey going on is just gonna start confusing us all with who knows what, when, and why/how they know... along with what this time around will bring.

Also...

Still love this fuckin poem... and I still believe it!
