It's the perspective of the MC of how he sees them. They're the Golden Goose, from the Jack and the Bean stalk fairy tale where the Golden Goose laid eggs of gold where later Jack stole from the giant. The MC essentially sees the Doctor and his family as being sources of enormous wealth.

Until that point, MC didn't see them as people. Only as cash cows to be milked. The image is labeled 'golden goose' but the image is a crane. I may be mistaken., but I vaguely recall that there's some Japanese story about cranes and money so I think that's translator localization.
