Shame that's balanced out by the other crap writing in the manga (though fair warning, I haven't read the novel so I have no point of comparison for whether it was always this bad). Like the next chapter shamelessly retcons him from becoming sullen and withdrawn because of the bullying to him apparently always being an edgy jerk dating all the way back to apparently reading Nietzsche when he was like 8. Because that's a totally normal thing that normal people do in fiction when they're not trying to prop up their edgelord cred.

I dunno. Seems like it would be pretty graphic to suddenly have all the lost blood siphoned back into your body like a shop-vac picking up a spill off the garage floor. 😂

vampire healing powers normally do that or when the mc is a imortal being but cant make new flesh just reatach it back.
