@manabi I took it as her being from the boonies/rural and the guy being in a big city/urban. Didn't noticed it until reading around 3/4 of the chapter.

I called it as I've seen more than enough of these types of short stories to know when it's going to happen, but it still hits the feels pretty hard regardless. v_v

So that's why it felt weird while reading. The way the guy doesn't make eye contact while the girl did. The way she waited under the sun even if it's freaking hot. Should have seen it coming but I was still caught off guard.
