Watari really reminds me of Yuuri from Girl's Last Tour. In other words, a simple creature. I find the implications of the book spirit bringing her over to the children's book section funny lol

Also, can we talk about how beautifully illustrated the library is? I've said this many times, but the art style of this manga really is fitting: it's so shimmery. The architecture is awesome as well, even though it's a location that appears for only one chapter; there must have been a lot of thought and care put into this.

Are books spirits the spirits of dead books or the spirits of dead readers? Or are they like fairies that just exist?

It mightve not been a planet that was meant to cater to a massive living population, like a library planet that had a few librarians living there and a ton of books. Just sort of a nice place if you liked books, but not a place someone would usually want to live in forever.

I think its just fairies that reside in books. Like there's dryads and nymphs and the like for oceans and trees. This is just one for books.
