The MC just has “hero” syndrome. He just wants to save people and feel good. MC is a modern man, we people don’t give 2 shits about kings and statuses especially if we were a LEGENDARY SAGE. MC can just go and cut off his head, what is the point of abiding those laws which make 0 sense. This dude is either a complete idiot by repeatedly letting go bad guys or doing it unconsciously because he wants them to continue to do bad stuff so he can save people and feel good.
