So normally in many stories of omegaverse, surrounding the fated pairs, two fated people get paired with each other. Right, and we know that. Yet...this author is taking a different path as in "what if--"
In this case, two fated people (probably) won't get paired with each other, because they both like someone else. Like it's complicated 'cause feelings are involved (not by fate or in nature), but more as in due to environmental surroundings, circumstances, and people (i dunno if I make sense lol), like Kaoru was childhood friends with him and had a crush on him and has feelings for him. Taiga..well I assume that he may end up growing his feeling for him as something more than just him being a sexual partner and s and will like him romantically.
