wouldn't it only be an issue if he gave all his money away /distributed it to others for free as opposed to one person just buying stuff for himself and others occasionally versus him somehow getting contracts/buying out all the other businesses and having a monpoly or so. despite the food shortage and undercutting the other businesses ppl were still willing to spend their money after all
