While I fully expect the series to gloss over any significant economic problems that his ability would create, I can't shake the unease that comes with him doing something as broken as mass-producing one-of-a-kind, hyper expensive and difficult to make magic items, just so he can sell them.

@TNT261 Yeah right, well it's kinda similar tho dupe money and dupe the item to sell it for money, that will destroy the economy.
If you want to sell a sword there must be a production cost and that cost will circulate in the economy making the economy stable.
If the sword is duped than there is no production cost, and product quantity in the market will rise making the price of sword decreased. And all sword maker will be gone cuz sword price is not worth the cost of production.

ugh, finally caught up.
This chapter wasn't as egregious as previous chapters on the glaring plot holes. Ogma appearing out of nowhere the next day after the lantern battle to a town an unknown distance away from the royal capital (two days travel? a week travel? it's not really made clear) seems rather convenient, but can't really be considered a plot hole. Him conveniently tripping over a vine with his grown magic wands was also not technically a plot hole. It wasn't made clear when he left the town and when he got to his "home" in the forest, or how long it took, but time and distance traveled seems to be nonexistent in this series. Yet his garden being mysteriously barren of duplicated items when Maine happened to go into it is a plot hole. They displayed on page 4 that there were tons of rods growing above ground in his garden, but when the monster shows up they all disappear. Then he trips over a vine where all of the rods are growing below ground, then Maine appears and everything disappears so that she can remain ignorant of his blatant duplicating ability.
Not only that, but Maud the blacksmith found time to travel who knows how many days from his shop in the royal capital to ask a merchant for a large quantity of a specific item that he can't be certain that the merchant actually carries. The only way this would make sense is if Maud knows for a fact that MC can duplicate items OR if Maud knows there is a location nearby that the MC can obtain a large amount of iron. Even still, does he have the luxury to abandon his shop for an unknown quantity of days for a round trip to a remote village? Are there seriously no other merchants in the ROYAL CAPITAL that can procure and supply iron to Blacksmiths. Again this is the Royal Capital we are talking about. There's no possible way to find iron other than heading out to a remote village with no displayed mining capabilities near a monster infested forest (Forest, not mountain or river which is where iron is normally mined) to ask a merchant who has been to neither the mountains or a river and has mostly been working out of the Royal Capital to get lots of iron for you.

I still think he is terrible for not telling maine about his skill and lying to her all the time. Given all they have done you would think he could trust her to keep quiet about it by now, not to mention seriously that they havent thought it odd he can suddenly get all these items en masse in a day when no one else can.
