Ah crap, it's critics self-empowerment. Plus, that wasn't constructive criticism, it's was "You suck!" Criticism. That'll kill a lot of people.

Critics and creators have very interesting relationship. It used to be if you got praise from critics you have made it. There were few critics, there's only so much space on the newspaper and there were few creators too, it wasn't easy getting your work published. Today we have an overwhelming amount of critics and creators because of the internet, the prestige of respective jobs have greatly diminished. A 9 or 10 on Gamespot used to be something bombastic, industry shifting. Japanese comics on the other hand had been quite an elitist club even until today but webcomics have been sprung up in a tide. Still, comics critics are still something very prestigious. Anything on Tezuka award or Manga Taisho is worthy of your time. I hope the archaic way of manga publishers wouldn't change.

I'm laughing at some of the complaints here. That review is mild, as far as I can see. I have seen and received much harsher criticisms than that. And clearly she's liking the novel enough and is giving out good feedback and suggestions AND leaving a review of 3/3.

And not only that, instead of thinking about the criticisms, he let it get personal and ended up confronting her about it. That's even more idiotic. Actually, thinking more about it, he's a total idiot for letting it get personal. If he does that shit when he becomes a pro (IF he becomes a pro with that attitude), he's going to be in for a really rough ride.

Her reviews to the dude reminds me of many thoughts when reading certain Chinese novels on the describing heroine part and when main charas go do something illogical or dumb out of the blue instead of a forced situation.. (lol)
*Had a couple times seen certain Chinese authors try to sexualize a certain Chinese toon wolf character designed for a kids' show.. Idk but enough said.*

Being an author means not giving a fuck about criticism and writing YOUR story, if nobody reads it you already know you need to improve from that alone. That said, I'm dropping this cringe at chapter 1.
