It's weird to imagine high school age kids are this immature towards poor students but it was exactly like this at my high school. Down to the rich ones only being friends with other rich students.
I think better of the ml since his friends and associates aren't trash that hates poor kids. Except the neighbour kid with the teal hair: why are you chatting and spreading gossip with the kid who talked shit about your friend's parents in front of the whole class? (last chapter)
