did i miss a chapter? or whoever wrote the story really decided that "this two sword dude need to go out and harass the girls from mc party for no reason at all (other than for easy plot), so that the mc will have no choice but to intervene and then challenge him" or maybe i'm blind? HELP

Isn't that Nilva dude alone enough to beat any demons, demon lords, and demon kings? It seems to me that others will have little left to do. Maybe clean up lowly minions beneath Nilva's notice?

NGL kinda tired of this trope of fighting for women. Not like in place of them, but for them. It's just weird.
I feel like in this case Rex would do the same for any of the kids he is mentoring, it is a tad annoying in general though I agree

We don't even know what happened or what Nilva intends to do. And the 'It's because we...' makes me think Mana and Prana are in the wrong here.
I dunno then why would he want the 2 of them if he wins the duel?

The idea behind the Soul Duel seems kind of goofy and just made for Rex to be able to win. If it was actually about showing off player skill, it would also handicap your items, just like your level, to put people on an actual even playing field.

Not necessarily. Choosing the right equipment to use can also be considered a part of your skill. In the earlier chapters they mentioned that a lower tier sword could be stronger than a higher tier sword if you don't have the proper stats for it, so you can't just slap on the best equipment and have an overwhelming advantage since your stats are lower than usual.

If it was just skill in choosing the correct items, you can implement that with just giving a large pool of items for everyone to choose from to keep things fair.

But considering Rex is entering with two cheat items (and likely going to win because of them) which he only got from a high-end dungeon normally only beatable by high-level players, the idea that people are able to enter with items only obtainable at levels much higher than 25 means it's still not really fair to people who are legitimately level 25. Given, that specific boss he killed had a cheese strat that would have let lower level parties clear it too, but that's probably not true for the majority of high-level bosses who're dropping high-level loot people would be able to use in this.

He's basically being a level 19 twink in warsong gulch right now (is that still a thing that people do?), wearing gear he's technically allowed to but not supposed to actually have access to at that point.

I think it's intended to be similar to pvp in pokemon. All your pokemon are set to the same level, but you can get an advantage if you train ivs, consider team synergy, have the right moves etc. Of course people who have already cleared the game will have an advantage in team building since they will have a greater access to resources compared to someone who's still halfway through the game and has a team just at the minimum pvp level.

The Soul Duel mode itself very much seems like its supposed to be a pvp feature rather than just for duels against npcs. It's just that because he's in the game world now that he can actually challenge npcs.
