I'll share Summary Light Novel Volume 4 here, WARNING : Please Don't Click if you Hate Spoiler. I Splitting this into 2 parts since it won't fit in 1 comment. here for part 1 =

β˜… Point:

This plot twist is next level. At first the reader's led to believe it's Yumi who died, so Hiromi's personality change when they meet in the first timeline seems to make sense. But actually it's Hiromi who died. Since Yumi loved her sister so much, she decided to live on in Hiromi's place. She even changed her name to Hiromi and forced herself to make the guy Hiromi loved, Amada, happy. That's why "Hiromi" (really Yumi) was willing to do anything for Amada's happiness, even though she knew what she was doing was wrong.

Timeline 1

β˜… At the start of second semester, after summer break ends, Ishii Kazuki can only watch Amada Teruhito and his crew happily reminiscing about everything they did over the break. They're talking about how fun it was going to Round One, thanks to an invite from Hitsujitani Miwa, a famous VTuber who was collabing with Round One at the time and got free tickets to hand out to Amada and his friends. But one thing feels off to Kazuki. Nobody brings up their trip to Okinawa, even though in Kazuki's memory, they all should've gone there.

β˜… Not long after, a new transfer student joins Kazuki's class. As unpopular guys, Kazuki and his guy friends are quietly hoping the new student's a girl. They want a chance to get to know a new girl, since pretty much every cute girl at school is always hanging around Amada.

β˜… Their wish actually comes true. The transfer student's a girl named Souda Hiromi. But right after Hiromi introduces herself in front of the class, Amada jumps up with a shocked look on his face. Seeing that reaction, all the guys can only sigh in resignation. They immediately conclude Hiromi's going to end up as yet another girl tied to Amada.

β˜… In the first timeline, Hiromi was the heroine he feared the most. When Kazuki got framed by Amada, Hiromi threatened all of Kazuki's guy friends so nobody dared to defend him. As a result, Kazuki got completely shut out by the whole school. Hiromi's devotion to Amada was so extreme she'd do anything for him. Because of that attitude, she even got the nickname Crazy Maid.

Timeline 2

β˜… Meanwhile, in the second timeline, summer break goes very differently. Kazuki's dad takes the family on a trip to Iwate Prefecture just like in the previous timeline. The difference is, this time Mikoto comes along too. Before heading to Iwate, Kazuki and his friends first plan a five-day, four-night trip to Okinawa. They'll stay at a villa owned by Tsukiyama Ouji's family, with Mikoto, Ushimaki, Iba, Kazuki's little sister Yuzuki, and Ouji. The trip's scheduled from the Friday of the first week of August to the Tuesday of the following week.

β˜… Before leaving, they go shopping for swimsuits together first. But the guys and girls deliberately split up. There are two reasons. First, nobody's interested in watching Ouji pick out a swimsuit. Second, they already know all too well what Ushimaki's fate is like.

β˜… For some reason, every time Ushimaki changes clothes, some kind of small accident happens. Kazuki's accidentally walked in on her changing and seen her underwear more than once. Every time it happens, Ushimaki cries from embarrassment. To avoid another incident like that, they decide to shop separately.

β˜… At the mall, they also run into Kanie Kokoro and her group. One of Kanie's group leaders turns out to be a huge fan of Ouji. But it's not because of romantic feelings, she just really enjoys how close Ouji and Kazuki are as best friends.

β˜… Taking the chance, Kazuki tries to dig up info on Souda Hiromi. He asks Mikoto, Ushimaki, Iba, Ouji, even Kanie if anyone knows her. Even earlier, when Miwa dropped by the convenience store where Kazuki works part-time, he'd asked her the same thing, since he has almost no info on Hiromi apart from the fact that she puts Amada above everything.

β˜… But nobody knows the name Souda Hiromi. Still, Kazuki picks up on something weird in Iba's reaction. When Hiromi's name comes up, Iba's expression and body language look different than usual, like he's hiding something. Kazuki doesn't know why yet, but he starts getting suspicious of Iba.

β˜… After shopping's done and they split from Ouji and the others, Kazuki finally gives Mikoto the gift, a pair of beach sandals. Mikoto's so happy to get a gift from Kazuki.

β˜… Kazuki warns her that wearing sandals for too long could give her blisters. But Mikoto still refuses to take off the sandals he gave her. Seeing how happy she is, Kazuki's dad and Yuzuki finally give up and let her keep wearing them.

β˜… On departure day, Ouji's dad drives them to the airport. During the ride, Ouji keeps telling his dad about his friendship with Kazuki. Hearing his son has friends this close, Ouji's dad's really happy.

β˜… Once they land in Okinawa, they're immediately greeted by beautiful island views. Since the trip was pretty tiring, they head straight to Ouji's family villa by taxi to rest before the rest of the vacation plans.

β˜… Iba's arranged dinner for the first night. While eating at a local restaurant, Ushimaki, who's great at making friends, quickly gets close with the owner. That's where they hear a local legend. Supposedly, if someone manages to find the flower that blooms on the beach on the night of August 7th, that person will get to stay with the one they love most forever.

β˜… Even though it sounds romantic, the weather forecast says heavy rain's coming that night. That's why Kazuki and Mikoto quickly warn Ushimaki not to go to the beach just to look for the flower.

β˜… The next day, they decide to play at the public beach even though they could've used Ouji's family's private beach. They want a livelier vacation vibe. With Mikoto, Ushimaki, Iba, and Yuzuki all being gorgeous, plenty of beachgoers end up noticing their group without even realizing it.

β˜… In the middle of that, Mikoto asks Kazuki to put sunscreen on her. But before Kazuki can do it, Yuzuki quickly shuts that request down.

β˜… Not long after, while Kazuki's alone, a girl suddenly walks up to him. The moment he sees her face, his whole body tenses up. That girl's Souda Hiromi.

β˜… To Kazuki, Hiromi's a trauma from the first timeline. His heart starts pounding just from seeing her.

β˜… No small talk, Hiromi asks Kazuki to pretend to be her boyfriend. At first Kazuki ignores the request, but Hiromi keeps pushing until Kazuki finally introduces himself and answers her questions. Even so, he still turns down the request. Instead, Kazuki even suggests Ouji, who he thinks is way more perfect as a guy. But Hiromi shoots down that idea, saying Ouji's too perfect.

β˜… In the middle of their conversation, Mikoto and Iba walk over. Mikoto immediately gives Hiromi a cold stare, while Iba's face suddenly goes pale when he sees her.

β˜… The situation only calms down when Hiromi's twin sister, Souda Yumi, comes over. At first Yumi misunderstands and thinks Kazuki's hitting on Hiromi. But once she finds out Hiromi was actually the one who started talking to Kazuki, Yumi quickly apologizes for the misunderstanding.

β˜… Seeing how unnaturally Iba's been acting ever since meeting Hiromi, Kazuki becomes even more sure Iba's hiding something. He plans to get him alone to find out why.

β˜… But before Kazuki can ask him, it's Iba who suggests they meet in secret in the middle of the night, after everyone at the villa's asleep. That meeting's what ends up revealing the big truth about the first timeline and their connection to Souda Hiromi.

β˜… That night, after everyone in the villa's asleep, Kazuki meets Iba in the living room like they agreed. Two questions have been nagging at him. First, about Souda Hiromi. Second, his suspicion that Iba also remembers the first timeline like he does.

β˜… Kazuki's suspicion isn't baseless. Earlier, Iba knew Shohei Ohtani would join the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2024, even though it's still 2023 and Ohtani's still playing for the Los Angeles Angels. That knowledge that shouldn't exist yet made Kazuki sure Iba's carrying memories from a previous life too.

β˜… Realizing he can't hide it anymore, Iba finally tells him everything.

β˜… He does remember the first timeline. But unlike Kazuki, who got all his memories at once, Iba's came back little by little. It all started after his plan to set Kazuki up in the second timeline failed. As time went on, pieces of his past life's memories started coming back until he finally remembered everything.

β˜… In the first timeline, Iba had actually started realizing Amada wasn't a normal person. He tried to distance himself from Amada, but it was already too late. After finding out Kazuki chose to end his life because of all the false accusations and suffering he went through, Iba decided to end his own life too. That's why he was able to be reborn in the second timeline carrying memories from his previous life.

β˜… Full of regret, Iba admits all his past mistakes. He doesn't expect Kazuki to forgive him at all. In fact, if Kazuki asked him to end his life as atonement, he'd do it without hesitation. To him, he'd do whatever Kazuki asks to make up for everything he's done.

β˜… Hearing that confession, Kazuki can't deny that he used to hate Iba badly. But that feeling disappeared a long time ago. Ever since Iba became his real friend in the second timeline, Kazuki's slowly forgiven all his past mistakes. On top of that, Iba's helped him out many times, including when they dealt with Hitsujitani Miwa not long ago.

β˜… It's actually Iba who then warns Kazuki not to be too nice to girls, especially someone like him. He admits he falls in love easily, and he once genuinely loved a guy as terrible as Amada. That's why he's worried Kazuki's kindness will just make him sink even deeper into his own feelings.

β˜… Once things calm down a bit, Kazuki finally asks why Iba looked so pale when he met Hiromi at the beach.

β˜… Iba's answer leaves Kazuki speechless.

β˜… From the start, Iba was actually trying to keep Kazuki away from Hiromi during the Okinawa trip. The reason is that Hiromi's the one who caused Kazuki's mom's death in the first timeline.

β˜… After an accident that killed a girl earlier, Hiromi went to the victim's mother and told her the family responsible for her daughter's death seemed to be living happily without any guilt. Those words set the victim's family off, until they ended up killing Kazuki's mom as revenge.

β˜… Iba then tells him everything he knows about Hiromi.

β˜… According to his memories, the biggest change in Hiromi's life happened after her twin sister Yumi died. Before that, Hiromi was a cheerful girl. But after Yumi died, her personality changed drastically. She became a woman who hates men and ended up sacrificing her whole life just for Amada. Unfortunately, Iba himself doesn't know how Yumi actually died in the first timeline.

β˜… After hearing all that, Kazuki and Iba quickly make a decision. This time they'll try to change fate and prevent Yumi's death.

β˜… Their first step is trying to get closer to Hiromi. Kazuki wants to find out the real reason why Hiromi's so insistent on getting someone to pretend to be her boyfriend.

β˜… Turns out the reason's nothing like what they imagined.

β˜… Hiromi wants to show Yumi she can come out on top too. Ever since she was little, she's always felt like she lived in her twin's shadow. Parents, teachers, even friends at school always praised Yumi, while she was just treated as an add-on.

β˜… Even when a guy got rejected by Yumi, they'd often switch to confessing to Hiromi just because they looked so alike. That made Hiromi feel even more like people never really saw her as her own person.

β˜… During that conversation, Kazuki and Iba also learn another fact they never saw coming.

β˜… Hiromi's actually known Amada since elementary school. And even back then, Hiromi already had feelings for him.

β˜… That fact really shocks Kazuki and Iba. They'd always assumed Amada first met Hiromi during the Okinawa trip in the first timeline. Turns out their connection started way before that.

POV Amada – Timeline 1

β˜… When he was little, Amada first met Hiromi at the library.

β˜… The second he saw that pretty girl, Amada decided to make her one of his heroine candidates. He deliberately carried a huge stack of books, then pretended to fall. He even repeated the act over and over until Hiromi finally felt bad and came over to him.

β˜… Taking the chance, Amada told her Hiromi has her own strengths too.

β˜… To Amada, that line was just a compliment with no special meaning. But to Hiromi, who'd always been compared to Yumi, those simple words became a lifeline. For the first time, she felt like someone truly recognized her as herself. From then on, Hiromi started believing Amada was the only guy who truly understood her.

β˜… When they met again in Okinawa in high school, Amada deliberately pretended not to recognize Hiromi. He wanted to create a reunion that felt like a scene from a romance manga, like it was all fate.

Thank you for translation
I can’t wait for this guy to get what’s coming to him; none of the girls give a damn about him, and amada’s going to lose the only thing he hasβ€”the delusion that he sets the rules for the world and that he’s special.

If either of those two were really 'good guys', they would have helped him in his past life, right? They would also read the room that they aren't welcome, it comes off more like they heard rumors that the girl worked there and were staking it out to confirm...

Thanks for the scanlation.

Summary Light Novel Volume 4 Part 2

β˜… When they met again in Okinawa in high school, Amada deliberately pretended not to recognize Hiromi. He wanted to create a reunion that felt like a scene from a romance manga, like it was all fate.

β˜… But after seeing Yumi, Amada immediately decided Yumi was way more worthy of being a heroine than Hiromi.

β˜… That's why Amada accepted Hiromi's request to pretend to be her boyfriend. Even though he seemed to agree, inside he was actually planning to get rid of Hiromi so he could get close to Yumi.

β˜… One of the key events that happens later is the moment that makes Yumi start obsessing over Amada. It all started from the childhood promise between Amada and Hiromi, which Amada deliberately used to get Yumi.

Timeline 2

β˜… Back in the second timeline, Kazuki still refuses to take Hiromi's request to pretend to be her boyfriend. But he offers another solution by suggesting Ouji as a replacement. Hiromi finally accepts. In front of Yumi, she introduces Ouji as her boyfriend.

β˜… From then on they spend the vacation together. Ouji really tries to play his role as Hiromi's fake boyfriend. Luckily, Iba had asked Ouji beforehand to treat Hiromi the same way he treats Kazuki as a best friend. Since Ouji's naturally attentive anyway, their lie doesn't raise any suspicion.

β˜… Meanwhile, Kazuki and Iba use the chance to talk to Yumi in private. From that conversation, they find out Yumi had actually realized from the start that Hiromi and Ouji's relationship was just an act.

PART 2

β˜… Yumi then opens up about how she feels. She admits she hates everyone who never truly acknowledged Hiromi, including their own parents. To her, she's the only one who's really understood and accepted Hiromi as she is. That's why she's always tried to protect her twin.

β˜… After hearing Yumi's confession, Kazuki and Iba quickly warn her not to go to the beach on the night of August 7th to look for the legendary flower.

β˜… Yumi explains that since she already knows Hiromi and Ouji's relationship is fake, she has no reason to look for the flower herself. But she admits that if Hiromi ever does find real love one day, she might go looking for it for her sister's happiness.

β˜… Hearing that, Kazuki and Iba feel a bit relieved. They think they've managed to avoid whatever caused Yumi's death in the first timeline.

β˜… But that calm doesn't last long.

β˜… After they split up that day, Kazuki suddenly remembers Hiromi's last words. Hiromi said this time she's going to try to find a real boyfriend, not just a fake relationship.

β˜… That sentence makes Kazuki's face go pale right away.

β˜… He quickly turns to Iba and asks one thing that seems trivial but is actually really important.

β˜… "Which eye is Hiromi's birthmark under?"

β˜… Iba's confused at first, but a few seconds later his face goes pale too, since he finally gets what the question means.

β˜… Hiromi's birthmark's under her left eye.

β˜… Yumi's birthmark's under her right eye.

β˜… In the first timeline, the person they believed was Hiromi actually had the birthmark under her right eye.

β˜… Which means they've had Hiromi's identity mixed up this whole time.

β˜… The one who died in the first timeline wasn't Souda Yumi.

β˜… It was Souda Hiromi.

β˜… Hiromi went to the beach that night not because she wanted to find the flower for herself. She went because she'd found out her childhood promise with Amada could never come true. They once promised that if neither of them liked anyone else when they met again, they'd become a couple. Now Hiromi realizes that promise is over, since she heard from Ouji that Amada likes Mikoto.

β˜… Once they realize their mistake, Kazuki runs out of the villa without wasting a second to look for Hiromi.

β˜… Ouji chases right after him. He doesn't even ask why Kazuki's in such a rush. To him, if Kazuki needs help, that's reason enough to move.

β˜… Meanwhile, Iba's told to contact Yumi right away and let her know what's going on.

β˜… In the pouring rain, Kazuki and Ouji search the beach, desperately looking for Hiromi.

β˜… Kazuki then decides to bet on fate.

β˜… He takes Ouji to the place where they first met Hiromi.

β˜… His guess is right.

β˜… In the heavy rain, they find Hiromi standing alone at the edge of the beach.

β˜… Without wasting time, Ouji grabs Hiromi's arm and pulls her away from the shoreline. Kazuki then pulls Ouji so they can all get away from that dangerous spot before anything worse happens.

β˜… Not long after, Yumi arrives after getting the news from Iba.

β˜… The moment she sees Hiromi's safe, Yumi hugs her twin and cries. All the anxiety she's been holding in finally spills out. From that hug it's obvious Yumi's been seriously worried about Hiromi's safety.

β˜… Once things settle down, the conflict that's been sitting between the twins finally comes out.

β˜… Hiromi explains that the reason she wanted a boyfriend and tried to come out ahead of Yumi wasn't hatred. She wanted to prove to Yumi that she doesn't always have to feel superior in everything. Hiromi hopes her sister can start seeing that there are plenty of other people who love her too.

β˜… Even though Hiromi does have feelings for Amada, those feelings aren't actually as big as her love for Yumi.

β˜… Unfortunately, Yumi still insists that she's the only one who's ever truly acknowledged Hiromi. The misunderstanding between them just keeps going with no middle ground.

β˜… Seeing that, Kazuki decides to step in.

β˜… But he realizes his move could have big consequences. If he says the wrong thing, the sisters' relationship could get even worse. Mikoto might even hate him for butting in.

β˜… That's why, before speaking, Kazuki first asks Iba to protect him if anything unwanted happens.

β˜… Kazuki finally works up the courage to say what he really thinks. Even though he's scared inside, he says he thinks Hiromi's prettier and more charming than Yumi.

β˜… Ouji backs him up right away. He says he sees it the same way Kazuki does.

β˜… Hearing both guys pick Hiromi, Yumi's pride gets hit. With a sharp glare at Kazuki and Ouji, she insists she's just as pretty as Hiromi. In fact, she says she's better than her sister at everything.

β˜… Even though he can feel the pressure from Yumi's glare, Kazuki doesn't take it back. He sticks to his opinion that Hiromi has her own charm that's not inferior to anyone's.

β˜… Meanwhile, Ouji speaks even more bluntly. His words completely crush the pride of Yumi, who's always believed she's better than Hiromi.

β˜… Seeing things heating up, Hiromi finally says what's been in her heart that she's never told anyone.

β˜… She says what she wants isn't to beat Yumi to prove who's better. What she really hopes for is for Yumi to start loving their parents again.

β˜… Hiromi admits their parents really didn't treat her fairly. But still, they're the only parents she and Yumi have.

β˜… That's why the legend about the flower blooming on the beach wasn't something she was looking for because of Amada. Hiromi actually hoped the flower could grant her wish that Yumi would open her heart again and love their parents.

β˜… That confession makes Yumi realize she's misunderstood Hiromi's feelings this whole time. But at the same time, Ouji's words, which openly put her down, bring back something that happened in the first timeline.

β˜… Slowly, Yumi's yandere side starts to show up again.

β˜… Instead of hating Ouji, Yumi becomes obsessed with him. She wants to change Ouji's opinion of her and prove she's way better than he thinks. Her obsession shifts targets, from Hiromi to Ouji.

β˜… Summer vacation finally ends.

β˜… At the airport before heading home, the change in Yumi's attitude is already obvious. She keeps clinging to Ouji and nonstop tries to get his attention.

β˜… Meanwhile, Iba notices another change that happened during the trip.

β˜… He finds out Hiromi's started developing feelings for Kazuki. So Iba invites Hiromi to join the group of girls who all like Kazuki, along with Ushimaki.

β˜… Now it's even clearer that Mikoto, Iba, Ushimaki, and Hiromi all have feelings for Kazuki. On the other side, Yumi starts pointing all her attention at Ouji.

β˜… After summer break ends, second semester starts back up.

β˜… Amada, who knows Hiromi's transferred to his school, sees a chance to run his favorite scenario. He wants to create a shoujo manga moment where the main character gets reunited with the heroine who shares childhood memories with him.

β˜… But everything goes way off from what he hoped.

β˜… When they meet, Hiromi doesn't pay any attention to Amada and just walks right past him. Feeling the situation isn't going according to plan, Amada has no choice but to call out to Hiromi first so she'll remember him.

β˜… Hiromi, hearing the call, looks surprised. The first thing she asks isn't how Amada's doing, it's about the promise they made as kids.

β˜… Amada deliberately pretends not to remember the promise. Hearing that answer, Hiromi's expression changes right away. Calmly, she says that if Amada's forgotten it, then she doesn't need to keep that promise either.

β˜… That reaction's completely unexpected for Amada.

β˜… Feeling the situation slipping out of control, Amada hurriedly says he actually just remembered the promise.

β˜… But that's when he notices something.

β˜… The person who's been talking to him this whole time isn't Hiromi, it's Yumi.

β˜… Not long after, Hiromi shows up after being called by Yumi. Yumi immediately tells her sister to stay away from a scumbag like Amada.

β˜… Hiromi says she can't fulfill their childhood promise anymore because there's now a guy she truly loves.

β˜… Watching the two sisters walk off just like that, Amada can only grit his teeth in frustration.

β˜… Every scenario he'd put together falls apart completely. In the end, out of all his plans for second semester, only one new heroine's left.

β˜… That heroine's identity isn't confirmed yet, but she's probably Mikoto's older sister. Let's go, new heroine, new drama.

If either of those two were really 'good guys', they would have helped him in his past life, right? They would also read the room that they aren't welcome, it comes off more like they heard rumors that the girl worked there and were staking it out to confirm...

Thanks for the scanlation.
Those GOOD GUYS did not help him cuz he already branded as the one in fault, and guess who DID THAT??
Regardless of the cause, those GOOD GUYS are the 1 doing the act and they are so good in gaslighting everyone, so much for GOOD GUYS. But atm, there is no reason to hate them for who or what they are doing.

And how good do you think school boys high on their own JUSTICE in reading the room?? :worry:

The only good thing shown in this chapter is just that MANAGER I'D LIKE TO FLUFF.:chad:

Big W for the store manager, helping MC out because she instantly understood what he meant :chad: MC also got lucky here by getting to hold hands with Mikoto on the last page.

There’s no continuity here. He hates that guy for what he did in his previous loop (and would do again). Why on earth would he say that he’s a good guy?

At a minimum he’s an asshole for bulldozing his own way through and ignoring what others have said. Lacking empathy like that is a red flag no matter what.

IIRC he thinks the girl was the instigator and mastermind. The guy was just a dupe. Nice guys can be fooled too.

But yeah, I agree, being told to eff off directly multiple times and still hanging around is pretty annoying at the very least.

Yeah, reading thia just makes me very confused as to how bad Amada really is, like, if the MC's internal dialogue is calling Amada a good person then what's up? I'll actually have to go back to reread the older chapters because I'm now not sure if Amada orchestrated the suffering of the MC or if it was the fault of his yandere harem and he was clueless.
