I can totally see it.

Kissing is a lot more intimate than the other stuff that they have done for a lot of people and can be seen as a true sign of affection in some cultures (where others it can be a simple greeting). So, I can weirdly see them being "shy" about kissing...especially when they both think that they are not into each other AND that the other party is not into them.

It is also nice to see them be a very nice and happy family. What Noah said on stage does not seem to be a lie at all and in fact we already know that she actually loves her dad, but because she takes after her mother she can't just be honest about it.

Well, it's worth noting that at this point in time it's less "sex" and more "being drained dry to the point of barely being able to walk". He's still halfway invalid while she's got two years of frustration to work through.
