So with this stuff, in the book it's more like there's a lot of competition and cultural differences between egg vs normal birth kids. Dragons are defined by their competition and establishing hierarchy through violence/trickery/etc (which is why Leon and Roseweiz have such a "harmonic" relationship for a dragon couple). The real edge of the school is that your status as far as prince/princess/commoner doesn't hold as much weight. Noah was put in classes for older kids so there's a bit more of a leeway in the school's protection, IE she's seen as having the chops to handle kids above her weight class.
And really, the director DOES love seeing the couple together. He's a big time shipper.

Leon essentially 1 v all the red dragons attacking. He kills most of them within a few seconds, then gibs constantine like he's bored. He only held off because he was being Dad and the only people on his give a fuck-dar are his kids and wife. He does stop roseweiss bff from getting purged as his first action. The red dragon clan basically just folds in on itself and a bunch of other clans start taking their land. There are very few red dragons left once Leon is done
