This is why other races can change to human form so they can properly control mana through magics and have more flexibility in combat. For example Dragon Kings (that includes females which are queens but their rank is "king") are more powerful all around in battle in their human forms but way tankier and stronger in dragon form.

That being said, this is why Isabella can't put her finger on his race in the future and which is why she doesn't suspect him not being a dragon yet (or admits to suspecting at the moment).
