If somebody has a gun, and they are making demands, they are absolutely going to kill you.
No questions, no arguments; their goal is to kill you.
The only reason a person with a firearm wants you to go with them is to kill you where people won't notice... usually after doing absolutely fucking terrible things to you.

So, make as much noise as you can, scratch, kick, bite, pull hair... do anything it takes to bring attention and get away; otherwise, you die.

It's really hard to pull a trigger when shit goes sideways; the US military trains for 2-6 months (depending upon the job) just to get a human to do their job under pressure, and some people still can't do it. And that's FINE... not everybody is able to do that.
Hell, I give big kudos and many props unto this lady for being able to change his stars!

But really; somebody comes at you like that, you scream yell, shoot, bite, run... anything to get yourself away and let other know of the problem.

Robbieries involving guns are more likely to result in death or injury, that is true, but research indicates most gun-wielding criminals never fire their weapon and that most situations they are used in order to threaten people but never fired. When victims do resist and struggle and go against what the criminal is demanding, this INCREASES the chances of injury and death.

There's a reason why everybody is taught to not resist. Life isn't a goddamn manga.
The MC should have resisted in this story's scenario because the criminals were clearly goddamn psychos who would kill them either way, but to apply this to real life using insane logic not backed by any data or common sense is nutcase behavior.

A quick google search would have showed you the data supporting these statistics. Like, come on, it took me 5 minutes. Here are some academic sources, but if you're unironically propagating absurd fatalism like this I can only assume you're not going to read these.

It was a very good decision to try and insult the author of this comment; it's always good to engage in pathological fallacies when you don't have any evidence to support your bullshit claims.

Did you miss the fact that your first link goes to a study from a country that doesn't allow firearms?

The fact that your second link was from 1986 and has been disproved about 50 times in the last 40 years?

The fact that the third source you cited is from 1977 and in the last almost-50 years has been cited as being an absolute garbage piece of non peer-reviewed fantasy literature?

Why spend all this time lying to everyone who reads this in an effort to pretend that your inexperienced and childish opinions have any business carrying weight in a discussion among adults?

You don't have to lie to make friends, and you don't have to pretend you know what you're talking about when you don't; just be honest when you post things about how it's merely your opinion, and maybe try being polite.
And, if you are incapable of that, then go start a flame war with some of the incels on the isekai comment threads.

Brother what the fuck are you talking about. These studies are still being cited to this day. "Failed peer review" my ass, The Journal of Legal Studies is a peer reviewed publication managed by the University of Chicago that is still ongoing with an average impact factor of 1.2, which is considered great for social sciences in the field of law.

You didn't say "run or fight against someone who wants to kill you." You said "if someone has a gun, they will ALWAYS kill you, so run or fight." Those are completely different sentences and the latter is not backed by literally anything, with research showing the literal opposite: most robbers or criminals with guns are just posturing and using them as a last resort/to threaten.

If you're gonna spout crap at least try. Pull out awful sources from unreliable outlets or something instead of just making shit up from thin air.
