I have 2 problems with this series
The reader having more knowledge than the MC and the MC being cringe since he's a kid
Since we know the issues of the world and what the angel does their "romcom moments" aren't wholesome or enjoyable to see, they're just weird, seeing MC question things that we do know the answer is annoying as well
About him being cringe for being a kid, my issue here isn't that he's a kid, but the 300 chapter romcom reactions are getting saturated since they take MOST of the pages in each chapter
It """""""worked"""""""" in gakkou gurashi because she had a trauma that gave her a mental issue, that's not the case here, he's just stupid
i hope he starts questioning his surroundings more because i'm more interested in the world as of right now and this last page of the chap gave me hope that's gonna be the case

Yeah, it would make much more sense if had some sort of, like, trauma, maybe like his mother didn’t feed him and locked him in closets for not being “good enough” for the angels to come save him while she gave all of their money to a cult.
And then while he’s being bullied because his mother is a religious nut an actual literal angel, that he believes in because he’s a kid, comes and saves him, and shows him the first bit of affection he’s seen in probably years, and since he’s so traumatized he believes he needs to justify his existence he decides to worry mostly about repaying this tremendous generosity instead of whatever happened because, y’know, he’s a kid and what the hell is he supposed to do about the literal apocalypse.
Yeah. That would be so much better. It’s too bad that’s not what this manga is about.
We are reading Boku no Pico, right? That’s what we’re talking about?
