@kamikira00 If you think about it, it does make sense:

All the men in her country have died, and a man shows up with power enough to defeat bandits and fenrirs, and then he lies about his background. It's not a stretch to think that he could be the cause of the problem after he's the only one to be able to withstand this miasma. Couple that with the fact that he's an heir, and it could be a curse developed in his efforts to expand his territory.

And the MC tried to ran away because his power was gone, he even mentions that.
