I wish it would've been a more high-paced, dirty, complex and confusing sword fight with real nice choreography to make full use of the artists capabilities. Why did a sword fight between two master swordsman end up being so turn based? And what's with Susano'o relaying on such simplistic power moves when his story is all about wanting to learn about the intricate, beautiful human swordsmanship?
We've had some good stuff, like Okita ascertaining the range at which Ama no gaeshi would lose enough power to be deflected, just throwing his frikking sword in midair and Susano'o pulling off his iai even after being forced on the ground.
If only the moment Okita used Sword Time, burning his everything and drawing up even his future potential as a swordsman, Susano'o would've drawn upon his knowledge, realized the danger and forcefully absorbed his divine weapon to produce his hard to predict unarmed blade to have an chance of fighting back.
INSTEAD he, who spent half an eternity studying swordsmanship, looked basically clueless as he got overwhelmed. Within moments he had his divine weapon broken, while sustaining enormous damage himself, only to suddenly put together all the pieces to reach the "ultimate" answer. Finger gun...
And let's not forget, JUST BEFORE all of this, we've had our boi Buddha not just ask Odin the real questions, but also got some some juicy answers early, disrupting the ongoing fight. That made things worse. I bet at least some other where thinking: "Dayum!!! Whats next!?" only to be greeted by an excessively prolonged fight.
