Idk if it's written "Faux de Mort" in the original text but normally it should be "Faux de la Mort" instead. And it means "Death's Scythe", not "Reaper's Scythe", that would've been "Faux du faucheur".
So it DID say Faux de Mort. However I did ask the poster to add the "la" in it due to another French person mentioned it. Probably a mistake on the author.

So it literally says 死神の鎌 with the furigana read as パ・ド・モール, but “The God of Death’s Scythe” felt overly clunky, and with the accompanying imagery it felt like “Reaper’s Scythe” worked better.
