I really expected more from this fight. I don't buy the idea that him being a sniper was the reason this fight sucked, other series have done it better. I think the author is just phoning it in at this point.

Loki should've been more meticulous, finding out about how Simo's power worked would win loki the match: Just bait one/two more shots and run the clock down until he's weak enough to fight back.
I was waiting for Simo's match for a long time and it didn't disappoint me, but that can't be overlooked. Maybe the point was to show a god fighting with a weakened heart?

Dunno why people said Hayha's Pain of Taking Lives is a somekind of ass pull. Dude is the soldier with highest kill count if not one of the highest in History. He would knew if something is dead when he shot it

Probably the weakest fight in the series sadly

this could been a more interesting inverse of the herc jack fight

Its nice the fight was a push and pull with both parties hunting for one another but they didn't show much of either. they could have made him fight clones and Illusions of his fellow soldier as his pawns to hurt him indirectly

its nice to see his ties to nature, stealth, and accuracy but half of his kills happened with his submachinegun which probably would been more interesting than the magic bullet thing.

well its because he never stated that he hated it even in his personal journal. I think its a good ability tho and they could done more with it. Like say early on loki makes illusion of finnish soldiers to look for him and he cant do anything about it but hide because he doesn't wanna kill his own guys, this can lead to a climax where they track him down until hes cornered forcing him to shoot only to realize he doesn't feel the pain when killing clones. That way they can show his ability coming into play at the end.

So Simo turns around and no-scopes Loki?
That's all? That's the fight?

What a boring ending. It might have been interesting if we got Simo's POV and saw him unravel Loki's plot one layer at a time under pressure of losing organs and being one mistake away from death. Instead, we just had Loki making an elaborate plan for no return whatsoever. Simo just always knows where he is. Because reason.
It's even more frustrating since Jack being present in the chapter is a reminder that the author can write a good mind game when he wants.
Im not a big fan of the fight either but yours glossing over alot, yeah the killing blow is a 180 quick scope shot but he knew something was off about the bird that loki was gonna use to teleport, simo knew where the fake was because it announced himself, simo only knew where the real loki was when he attacked at the end. Its indeed very frustrating that this wasn't a more interesting mind game
