Silent chapter uploading

Uploaders should have the option to tick a flag when uploading chapters so they don't appear in Newest updates or other such pages.

This is most useful when posting multiple chapters all together. For example, maybe you would want to post an entire volume at once, but that could lead to a big 8+ chapter list clogging up everyone's feed. Alternatively, multiple updates to a webcomic style manga with chapters that are only 1 or 2 pages long. Muting all but the first and last chapter are a good way to show that a large number of chapters have been added if posted relatively close to each other.

This would also be helpful in other situations, like backfilling older missing chapters, correcting individual chapters, etc.

edit: this is similar to what was requested here but would be done manually by the uploader, rather than automatically

This is already in place no? For example Hatarakanai just had a batch upload today and the only chapter displayed on my feed was the latest one.
Unless you're talking about the follows tab in which case I see your point but since I don't particularly use the tab I don't have a strong opinion on whether you implement it or not.

Yeah, my mindset is from the follows page, but you've made me realize that the limit of 4 on the front page updates actually means you risk missing the first chapter of the bunch.

Yeah that happens sometimes truth be told this is the main reason I got into the habit of clicking on the series main page vice going straight into the chapter.

Also bear in mind now that Mangadex has been been around for almost 2 years, its rare that massive chapter dumps occur (at least for English).

The majority of uploads are single chapters.
