@Kakao
The ending certainly was quite a bit rushed/abrupt and hard to follow and doesmt explain much. Li Qing leaves the Sanitarium to break free of the mental instabilities causing his psychosis. Xiang continues his time at the sanitarium and both undergo personal improvement in their own way until Xiang's mother believes, that at least despite his sexuality he has a clean bill of mental health, and attempts to take over the company now that him and his mother have reached a mutual understanding. He no longer has to go to the sanitarium, but visits the nerd boy anyway. And then finally ome day they're united and see the beach Li Quing had wanted to see with his mother mamy years prior.

Of course the ending is still horribly rushed of course, just a lot of time-lapsing to two points with no point of reference other than some prior information in the story.

The art work was beautiful, but the story jumped around and left lots of things unanswered or missing

I was planning on reading this but as someone with a sister that was diagnosed with Schizophrenia and that has accompanied her in several admissions, I found it really hard to go past the second chapter. "can mental patients comprehend books?" wow dude, you're an ignorant.
