I think it's fine that he used that. It shows that he's using every resource he has, especially since he started From nothing. Although I'm pretty sure Morita feels the same way you do.

To be fair, Gin didn’t leave him with that many possibilities, and it not like there is a set of rules he has to follow, everything is valid.
