@exocel yeah i feel kind of the same feels like he kind of lost the thread of the story and turned into a business manga with hard timeskips

I read the sort of ending arc around two years ago, now that there's a bit more chapters added to that prolonged end I don't really care.

It was fine, I guess? Can't really remember now.

I expected a better finale from the author of Full Metal Alchemist, ngl. The father arc wasn't even mentioned and that was a huge story pillar since the beginning. Serviceable, but meh. Also the manga felt uber rushed after Kowaba left the school. You know when drunk guys get together and start making crazy business plans that sound reasonable, but are just pure nuts fantasy? That's what happens here from the point Kowaba left.
Also take out the romance tag. There's barely any in it. They share one semi off screen kiss and they're not even in the same country in the finale lol

rereading it now, the fact that the manga got a quick cancel due to family reasons has nothing to do with it, it was on a slow decline to begin with. like some other commenter said at some point it just turns into a soulless business manga that just seems to be going through the paces. by the end i barely cared about the characters, and while in completely different genres fma stands much higher as just well written fiction.

sad stuff

Mm, frustrating. It starts out with so much detail about what the farmer's education consists of, but then it seems to just... drop it all? Did the author simply run out of material? Did he grow bored of it?

ngl from beginning to middle I really liked the manga. The end was a little... lackluster?
It felt super unfinished.

Honestly, a bit disappointed we didn’t see their lives far into the future, but I can’t imagine a better ending. Honestly don’t get why others felt different about the ending, maybe because I’m just being blinded by my recent massive craving to binge but I felt satisfied.

I agree tho, it’s pretty bland, a jack of all trades, it’s something I would recommend only if you don’t have anything to read.
