I have, like, a grain of sympathy for the duchess because someone didn't try and steer her right. But just a grain.

I'm basically boredom/spite-reading this now because I don't like how dense the MC is, nor do I find the romance compelling. Like, it's cheap but I still can't look away...

@Zephyr she is in her early or mid 20s. And went 5o a body of a 16 years old. In the first chapter it said her age but the author or translator changed her age to a one year older making her 17 when he was just 13.... i will go with the first indicated age. They are 3 years apart.

I can understqnd her way of thinking when he was 13. He is now 17 years old. He was her. You don't cry for someone like she did just cuz she liked the character. She was single. A single person will put themselves in their shoes and form some sort of affection for the character.

What we are reading now is the artist or author manipulating the MC. He is dense but some behaviors just doesn't make sense. When that happens u can tell it is the author or artist forcing a character to behave in a certain for the sake of the plot. We just saw why the ajthor did it. So there can be complications. They need to make it the victim and show that she cured the Duke, the crown princess will want to take her as his bride. Since she is a commoner she can be his concubine just to have in his graps someone cure his heir.

I like this. Regardless of whether she's dense or not It's only natural for her to assume realistic expectations that she can't possibly end up with the duke. I mean we all know that she will but I can't help but feel bad for Lorenzo. This might end up getting complicated but they also make a cute couple 😙
