Nice, the worldbuilding is grim. I never seen fantasy world that already beaten otherworlder and treats them like an invasive species.

Oh, and here I had convinced myself that her outing him as an isekai with death rewind skill by stating it loudly near an animal-eared girl was intentional - but it seems her expression after seeing he's been 'consumed' is a bit sadder than expected.

(Of course, she's a pretty good actor, so she might just be thorough. But I'll give her the benefit of some doubt for now.)

Edit: And then I read a few pages further, and as usual this manga excels at first showing you something bad - and then swiftly revealing that everything is actually so much worse than it seemed at first glance.
