The original Doom FPS got published, Christ loving parents of USA freaked out over the Satanic imagery and what not, really not realizing that the demons, Satan, and Hell is the enemy and portrayed really really negatively. They are protesting about the depiction of violence... against demonic things.

Coming from a family with that kind of background, I can attest that the issue isn't the way they're depicted (at least for some of them). The issue is the fact that they're depicted at all. They see it as some kind of spiritual contagion. In their eyes, merely seeing or being exposed to them can corrupt the spirits of their children or tempt them into evil.

I had to endure being dragged into some of those moral panic seminars hosted by a church in the past and on
ne of their examples of this "evil" being spread is the Monster energy drink can. A fucking can design.
